My Kopp's Plan

So if you live in Milwaukee, WI you know that there are a few custard places around :)   We live close to a Kopp's Frozen Custard location, and probably have about 5 pints of different flavors in our freezer right now. :) It's delicious! Some of my personal favorite flavors include (BUT are not limited to!) Chocolate Peanut Butter Chocolate, Chocolate Cherry Kiss, Chocolate Malt, and Almond Joy). YUM

So where am I going with this??

Kopp's is a big supporter of Breast Cancer research and fundraising.  A manager told me that I could ask for sponsorship (for our March of Dimes team), but that he already knew what the answer would be.  Okay fine.

So Plan B.

Let's get Kopp's to make a March of Dimes, Devoted to Dylan flavor! It's the 75th anniversary of March of Dimes and I personally think MOD could use a boost in the acknowledgment/advertising department.

Feel like helping??? Great!!

Here's my letter for you to use:
___________, 2012

Dear (manager name) and Kopp’s Family,

I am a member/supporter of a local March of Dimes family team, Devoted to Dylan.  I joined/supported the team because____________________________________________________________________. Their 2012 fundraising efforts made them not only #1 in Milwaukee, but also #1 in Wisconsin and #9 in the country!

The 2013 year marks the 75th anniversary for the March of Dimes mission and I feel that we should embrace this milestone and remind the community what March of Dimes is all about, our babies and our children being given the best chance at a healthy start to life.  Instead of asking for a monetary donation, would Kopp’s be willing to maybe have a special flavor made in honor of Wisconsin's top team, and/or the March of Dimes, in celebration of their mission?

The  March Of Dimes is an advocate for awareness to and prevention of premature birth and also funds research to prevent birth defects and infant morality.  Bringing attention to this cause will be a success in itself, but working along side a company like Kopp's Frozen Custard would be a great help in our efforts.

This important work is so valuable to the community, and Kopp's would be helping a wonderful cause by spreading the word about March of Dimes with a special flavor.

Thank you for helping us give all babies a healthy start!

Sincerely,

YOUR NAME
Team Member/Supporter of Devoted to Dylan
March for Babies 2013
